Raising boys is messy.
Understanding them — doesn’t have to be.
A podcast and community dedicated to boyhood — built by a boy mom searching for better answers.
Hi — I’m Liane, a working boy mom to two wild, wonderful boys.
Like you, I know the socks on the floor all too well—that everyday reminder that raising boys is beautifully messy, unpredictable, and full of love.
But I also felt the stares, the eye rolls, and the quiet judgments in stores, restaurants, doctors offices and schools. Being a boy mom can feel like walking around with a scarlet letter—boys are often labeled “too much” before they’ve even done anything at all. That discomfort pushed me to search for better ways to understand and guide them—without shame or suppression.
When my search came up short, I BUILT IT!
Socks on the Floor is your one-stop platform and community dedicated to boyhood. We bring together experts, real stories, and fresh perspectives to help parents like us truly understand our boys—how they’re wired, why they struggle, and how to raise them into resilient, grounded, purposeful young men... without apologizing for boyhood..
Raising boys is messy. Understanding them doesn’t have to be.
If you’re looking for alternatives, they exist — and we’ll explore them together — thoughtfully, unapologetically, and with purpose.
Socks on the Floor. Raising boys. Shaping the future.
